North Cascades National Park is part of the North Cascades National Park Complex, along with Ross Lake and Lake Chelan National Recreational areas. These lands are all protected for their astounding beauty and environmental importance. The complex has more than 300 glaciers for starters, as well as deep valleys, jagged peaks and cascading waterfalls. It really is a terrific place to visit. Hikers of all standards and energy levels will find something to fit the bill – whether you’re more of a leisurely stroller to the river to watch the wildlife, birds and migrating salmon, or whether you’re a real energetic type who likes to climb to the top of a peak to look at the view – there are literally hundreds of miles of trails in North Cascades National Park of varying lengths and degrees of difficulty.

North Cascades National Park is great whether you want to get away from it all for a few days, or are just passing through, there’s always something to see and do. Whether it’s camping, fishing, boating, biking, horseback riding or just taking a picnic in a beautiful place – get yourself to North Cascades National Park, you’ll be certainly glad that you did. The weather is a little unpredictable, well, it’s all those mountains you know. It is officially one of the earths snowiest places, particularly on the west side, but the east side is altogether much drier. Be prepared for anything weather-wise, that’s the best advice.
